Timescales and updates
We are keeping residents updated via newsletters and events. We will also keep this webpage up-to-date with the latest information.
We had originally hoped to start construction work on Craigmillar and Peffermill Courts in 2023 but there has been some delays. Below is the up-to-date timescales for the improvements.
2022 - 2023
- detailed surveys for both blocks
- began engaging with residents
- design commissioned
2023 - 2024
- spoke and met with residents to get their feedback and ideas
- created designs and plans for improvements
2025
- additional surveys
- final stages of design for both blocks
- tenders put out for contractors to provide quotes to do the work
- planning permission granted
- construction to begin in winter 2025 at the earliest (tbc)
2026 - 2027
- work ongoing across both blocks
2027 - 2028
- work expected to be completed (tbc)
